It is this institution of seven sages who founded Hinduism, by expending a large amount of effort over thousands of years in unifying a large number of traditions from across civilizations into one single religion of Hinduism that we see today.

The Hindu Trinity, the Hindu divine hierarchy, the Hindu festivals, and everything else that we see today were formulated by them. The religion got so excessively dependent on these sages that they started being considered as the representatives of the creator on earth.

Excessive mythicization finally led to the relegation of this institution from the purview of the real world into the realm of mythology, to the extent that they started being regarded as mythical personalities. This institution got destroyed at the time of the three hundred year severe drought of 2200 BC. At that time, most of the Indians, devastated by the drought, left India for foreign shores, especially to European lands.

The institution of seven sages got destroyed in the subsequent societal turbulence, as a result of which, the origins of Hinduism have once and for all become lost in the dungeons of time, becoming the source of intense mystery to this day.

Vedas

They used certain scriptures called Vedas to arrest polytheism, and took excessive pains to integrate all these different deities under one hood of a universal religion. They very strictly guarded the Vedic body of knowledge, and the copy of the Vedas available with them was considered to be the final copy.

Any changes to the Vedas were needed to be approved by this elite group of sages. If the reasons were justified, they approved the changes and incorporated them into the Vedas.

Otherwise, they rejected it and kept the Vedas intact without any contamination. Any changes, to the extent possible, were always added as appendages rather than their being incorporated into the Vedas. So we have Brahmanas, Aranyakas, and Upanishads as appendages to the Vedas. Islam is freedom

Truth is the dream of philosophers and the only pursuit of philosophy, science and arts. Man has the natural impetus for truth and as Aristotle said that Truth does not need justification, for it is clear enough as justification. Truth stands on its own feet and our mind accepts it as it is.

Mathematical truth, for example, is considered to be a perfect science that justifies itself, whether its origin is an external entity existing on its own or our own invention. If Islam as a monotheistic religion makes the mind as judge, then how can this be related to the concepts of freedom and justice that Islam calls for?

Islam considers man's mind as the judge but such a state needs to be exercised within the criterion of freedom. If God is the ultimate objective of man's belief and man's submission unto, then man must have the freedom of choice between belief and disbelief, this is depenent on the non-viability of a proof for God's existence.

In other words, if Islam calls for the acknowledgement of a God then it must, a priori, provide proof and evidence for its premises. But Islam, like other monotheistic religions, or even any other belief system in the general sense of belief, does not provide proof, nor evidence not even a solid argument, for the existence of God.

Islam as a religion challenges man to look into the universe, and must have the freedom of looking into the universe, then man is given the choice, and he must have the freedom of choice, and then man must make his own convictions towards the premises advanced for belief, and man must have the freedom of making such convictions. This consists of the aspect of freedom in Islam. The freedom to consider the universe as an act of creation by one and only God or otherwise.

Guidance for Those Who Fear Allah and Believe

The companions (Radhiyallaho anho) of Rasulullah (SAW) used to say first we learned Imaan (belief) from Rasulullah (SAW) and then we learned Quran.

One can’t really understand the core of Quran without Imaan however it is such amazing Book that it opens up gates of guidance for every single human being no matter he/she is a Muslim or not.

Quran says that the people who have the above characteristics would not only get guidance but also they are the ones who will prosper. The fifth verse of Surah Al-Baqarah / The Cow states: “They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper.”

on the other hand there are some unfortunate people who would not get guidance at all. The question is that why Allah says whether you warn them or not they will not believe in Me? the reason is told in Quran as well, the reason is given in the very next verse “Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur)” they are the ones who are “Deaf, dumb, and blind, they will not return (to the path)” primarily because whenever they are told about the Truth, they not only reject but also make fun out of it.

Islam is justice

The aspect of justice in Islam is based on the perspective that man is given the mind to look into the universe and have liberty of convictions, as well as having enough time to make the final judgment before death, then man is held responsible for his own choice.

Such a choice, although free and personal, has consequences for man himself. In such a way the human mind is made not only the judge mediator between man and the universe but also charged with the responsibility of man's decision to believe or disbelieve.

Islam faces man with a clear message that God is and is given freedom to choose between belief and disbelief then it is only logical that man is held responsible for his own judgment. The justice perspective comes into the formula of Islam as a direct cosequence for man's own decision. Whether man is rewarded by paradise or is punished by hell fire man alone is responsible.

Reward and punishment as levers for persuasion and dissuasion are but the criterion of justice in Islam, and indeed in Judaism and Christianity. Christianity holds man alone to be responsible whether to follow the way of God or the way of the devil. In Judaism humans are invited to obey God but they have the choice of disobeying God with all the consequences therefrom.

If man is then provided with mind and has enough time to consider through the criterion of the universe whether or not to believe, which expresses total freedom, unlike what the fatalist and predestination advocates claim, then justified consequences, as purpose for such a free task and responsibility, must be applied and this is the idea of final judgment and reward and punishment in Islam.

Man is provided with the mind to think and reflect and to conclude, he has a life span to confront the universe and he has all the freedom of deliberating his personal convictions with respect to belief, acknowledgement and submission unto one and only God. The leap from the sensible to the intelligible is not easy but it is dispensable for every human being.

The Muslim represents the first cell of the Muslim community. He or she is the prototype of the whole community. The Muslim community is made up of such paradigm of prototypes that leads essentially to the formation of a society, fully fledged within the framework of a welfare state. The Muslim, having undertaken freely to accept one God, believe in one God and obey the law of God depicted in the sources of Islam namely the Qur'an and practice of Prophet Muhammad, has a structure of the state within himself.

He has a framework of a Muslim with all the tenets and precepts of Islam within him. He is aware of his role and his task in life and he leads his life in accordance with such precepts. He lives within a four dimensional relationship namely: man-God relationship, man-himself relationship, man-man relationship and man-universe relationship.

Within each relationship the Muslims is well conscious of his role and his own task and responsibility. He moves, in terms of thought, feeling and action, within the structure of every relationship.

The relationship of man with God

The Muslim submits himself unto belief in God, His angels, His messages, His messengers and the Day of Judgment. He obeys God and only God. In terms of man-himself relationship the Muslim is aware of his role and ought to practice all his obligations towards himself. Within the man-man relationship the Muslims is submitted to laws and rules that are essentially social, political and economic.

He practices his obligations, his rights, his duties and his responsibilities within the framework of others, the community. He has to obey the divine law and has to function in terms of the precepts of Islam. His relationship with the universe reveals his role towards the universe and how the universe leads him to believe in God and make him achieve his life where all his means of subsistence are provided for him by God.

All four relationships stem from the relationship of man with God. Man has a life cycle to live, a mind to think and free will to do whatever he likes. His temporary worldly life represents a preparation bridge for the eternal life. He decides his own destiny and he alone reaps the results of his own acts. In Islam no other person can be responsible for the person himself. He is tempted with good and evil and he alone decides which way to go.

Such perspective makes Muslims come together naturally into a community for communal action is just as important as individual action. In Islam there is a balance between the two while individual responsibility remains all the time individual and not communal.

Muslim's way of life

In Islam it is the concept of the Hereafter that draws the big lines of the road.

Muslim's way of life can be hence easily compared and contrasted with other ways. The criterion of belief and disbelief is one factor of comparison and contrast.

Belief in one God or more is another factor. A third factor is belief in resurrection and the eternal life is a third factor of comparison.

But what is essential is that Muslims live within themselves a state of Islam. The necessity of an out Islamic state, a Leviathan, is therefore unnecessary. For the Muslim's responsibility makes him a state by himself. There is no need for a guardian over the Muslim as long as he abides by the law of God.

In societies that are un-Islamic humans live within the communal state and deterrent guardians are needed to keep order and keep the law. Fear of the state become predominant while in an Islamic state fear of God is predominant. Fear of God is by far more comprehensive and cannot be evaded while fear of the state is not comprehensive and is inefficient.

In Islam the Muslim knows that he must obey God, not to practice power over others, not to monopolize riches in his hand while others are bereft of their wealth, not to have social privilege and all equal before God. This makes the state within and not without the individual Muslim. As long as this formula is kept in order and under constant control and check the Muslim community does not need a state to control Muslims and coerce them into behaving according to Islamic tenets.

The state of Islam, according to the Islamic sources, represents a natural state called al-Fitrah( the natural impulse of the mind), it is not artificial state without that makes man an artificial citizen of an alien society.

Such a society is ideal but it can be pragmatic, on the condition that all Muslims do the same thing, but how far is this ideal-pragmatism from the Muslim world today!

Life Is About Evolution

It doesn't matter at all where you are from or what you've done in the past, you're never trapped in any circumstance, relationship, cycle, or situation unless you say and/or believe you are. It's always better to take each and everyday and treat it just as it is; a new day with new opportunities to do what's right.

If you're at a point in your life where you realize you're going in the wrong direction which means you're producing the wrong results then simply in most cases do the opposite of what you're doing right now. Trust me this will make a world of difference and you'll almost see small and/or big result quickly.
